Welfare Advice & Information
The community advice project is operated by skilled Staff proficient in multiple languages, providing guidance and assistance to clients in matters concerning welfare benefits, Disability Living Allowance, Jobseekers Allowance, Employment Support Allowance, as well as housing and immigration issues.
Youth Training
The Training project collaborates with families, school staff, and Southmead students to address obstacles that might hinder children from reaching their maximum potential.
Employment and Training Support
The Employment project offers a customer focused service that treats people as individuals and offers a personalised approach to meet each individual’s needs.
Since 2017
Southmead Somali Association
The Southmead Somali Association (SSA) is a non-profit organisation that operates within the community, providing essential services such as information, advice, advocacy, and outreach in Bristol and the surrounding Southmead area.
The management committee of SSA is formed by the Board of Trustees, who are elected from the local community.
In 2017, the SSA Advice and Information Office was established with the purpose of addressing the distinct and intricate needs of the residents of Southmead in Bristol.
