Southmead Somali Association is a charity that supports children and families of Southmead communities in Bristol. We offer a range of school subject’s support and women group support to improve a holistic education:

l. Providing learners with one-to-one or group school subject classes and women small group support within ESOL.

Some People Need Help And We Give It!

The Southmead Somali Association (SSA) is a non-profit organisation that operates within the community, providing essential services such as information, advice, advocacy, and outreach in Bristol and the surrounding Southmead area.

In 2017, the SSA Advice and Information Office was established with the purpose of addressing the distinct and intricate needs of the residents of Southmead in Bristol.

Multiple Training & Apprenticeship

The training project offers a customer focused service that treats people as individuals and offers a personalised approach to meet each individual’s needs.

  • Women group/ Elderly Helping learners build confidence in digital literacy, supporting the development of online provision and approaches as needed;
  • 18-25 years old Supporting youth to develop their knowledge and skills, encouraging and inspiring participants to reach their full potential;
  • 7-15 years old Introduction “STEM program” to understand their strengths and areas of interest;
  • Making use of any community languages you may know to help students during the class;
  • Following Southmead Somali Association confidentiality, safeguarding, health & safety, equal opportunities, data management, online communications and all other policies as relevant.
